Booster Basics
General information for incoming families
I.) The Boosters support the band in financial operations, (fundraisers) day to day business, travel and activities, special projects and outreach.
II.) Plans for 2022-23 include the annual marching band retreat and parade to the dells. This overnight trip to the Dells is a culture building experience including an overnight stay at the Kalahari Resort, with full use of the facilities, a breakfast buffet at the World famous “Paul Bunyan’s” restaurant and a pizza party/dinner at Saurento’s.
III.) ISA’s (Individual Student Accounts) are generated by student fundraising efforts such as sales, donations or scrip. This is a type of student bank account held through the boosters and the activity office. Funds are reserved for the student to apply toward any approved band related expense or fee. Account balances may be passed down to younger siblings as they come into the high school band.
IV.) Ways to become involved are numerous! Just show up to a meeting, second Wednesday of every month in the cafeteria at West. Do you have any special skills, expertise, ideas or connections? Consider helping out in: a position in any of our Band Booster Offices or in one of the many jobs that are critical to the successful running of a comprehensive band program.
